The forty-six years of the Segovia Festival have made this event one of the oldest performing arts festivals in Spain, with a wide national and international projection. The extraordinary quality of its programs and a careful choice of the historical spaces where the performances are held have configured a festival that preserves and promotes the cultural tradition while adapting its channels and objectives to the new realities.

MUSEG -Festival de Música de Segovia was born in 1974 in front of the Aqueduct of Segovia, as a commemoration of the bimillenary of the emblematic monument. Every year, music and dance shine on the monuments of the city, a World Heritage Site, and in medieval castles and monasteries in the region. Thus, the Alcazar, the Aqueduct, the Cathedral, the medieval palaces or the Romanesque churches of the city, and the castles of Turégano and Cuéllar, host the festival. Many artists have visited the festival, among them, Mstislav Rostropovich, Montserrat Caballé, Bárbara Hendricks, Carmen Linares, José Carreras, Jordi Savall, Ballet Nacional de Cuba, María Pagés, Cristina Hoyos, Ballet de España, I Musici, Ópera de Pekín, Orfeón Donostiarra, Orquesta Sinfónica de Israel, Tete Montoliú, Ara MaliKian, Chano Domínguez, Tomatito, Vicente Amigo, Chick Corea, Ute Lemper, Badi Assad, Cuarteto Casals, Cuarteto Borodin, Cuarteto Quiroga, Dulce Pontes, Arcángel and Marco Mezquida.

In 2021 the festival has expanded its programming to natural spaces in the province. Thus, the Natural Park of the Hoces del Duratón or the Ski Resort of La Pinilla are new stages for music and dance.
